TOPICS

Full Moon 7th May Venus Retrograde 13th May until 25th June Jupiter Retrograde 14th May until 12th September

Saturn Retrograde 11th May until 29th September

FULL MOON 7th May

The full moon takes place on the 7th May in Vishakha Nakshatra (constellation behind the Zodiac signs)

VISHAKHA THEMES:

  • Focus, Prosperity & Strength

  • Triumph in ‘come backs’ (success and achievement)

  • A sudden ‘split’ or “electric shock” followed by growth

  • Liquor industry (and an overwhelming need to flock to the bar/nightlife scene to find pleasure)

  • The male tiger is the animal symbol of this Nakshatra. Tigers represent will power and strength

The full moon will be in opposition (180 degrees) to Mercury & trine (120 degrees) to Neptune

EFFECTS

The May 7th full moon will provide some relief after the intensity resulting from the March and April moon cycles.

Although the Full Moon in opposition to mercury will bring conflict between thoughts/communication vs. emotion, there will be an intuitive, soft and creative energy that will support this Full Moon as you work to balance what it is you feel and how you communicate effectively with others.

Have the courage to communicate your emotions as confronting or uncomfortable as it may seem to do so. This is now the opportunity for people to express themselves lovingly to others.

You will find that the result of doing so will bring a much-needed sense of relief as you work through what needs to be released so that you can begin to make changes for your own well-being.

MAY RETROGRADES

There are 3 planets turning retrograde in May.

When planets retrograde by transit (movement across the sky), the energies that the planet embodies bring reflection, review, re-assessment and intensified efforts.

How this will affect you will depend on where the planet is transiting within your Vedic Astrological chart. Do not underestimate these retrogrades, as they hold significant power and result in taking a closer look on how you have been thinking/feeling/acting within yourself and toward others.

According to Astrologist Kapiel Raaj, Karma (represented by Saturn’s transit) manifests during this time based on your previous choices and actions. We will be feeling this collectively as a result of the drastic actions and decisions from COVID-19.

In May, the 3 planets retrograding including:

VENUS = LOVE AND MONEY

(Retrograde 13th May until 25th June)

“Most of your desires are not really about yourself. You just picked them up from your social surroundings.” —Sadhguru

This is an opportunity to show you what in your life actually matters most, and who/what really makes you happy *HINT* it’s always the simple things in life we often make very complicated.

Key themes:

  • Review and intensification of Taurus related sensory pleasures; how you spend money, connect with nature, and who you’re giving your loving attention to

  • Ex-lovers, friends, associates or ex-creative projects may come back, as well as money owed

  • Themes of the opposite sign of Scorpio will be felt with a sense of depth, devotion and heightened insecurity with regard to choices in love/money

JUPITER = FAITH, BELIEFS, INSPIRATION

(Jupiter Retrograde 14th May until 12th September)

“There are so many things we've been brought up to believe that it takes you an awfully long time to realize that they aren't you.” ― Edward Gorey

The strength in hope and inspiration that was felt with Jupiter in Sagittarius in 2019 has been debilitated in the sign of Capricorn in 2020 which has made us lose a little faith.

Jupiter during its retrograde this year however will dip back into Sagittarius on 30th June.

This will present an opportunity to revisit our previously held inspirations and come to a compromise with the new limitations so that we can proceed in working toward what it was that we were hoping for and inspired by.

Key themes:

  • Themes related to our freedom, environmentalism and sustainability as well as fake media that protesters around the world were marching for in 2019 will return

  • A ‘second chance’ to make changes to the obvious social and political inequalities that have come into focus as a result of COVID-19

  • Opportunities to re-book, re-sit and re-test as Jupiter rules teachers, education, beliefs, religion, gurus, luck and travel

SATURN = WORK, RESPONSIBILITIES, KARMA & COMMITMENTS

(Saturn Retrograde 11th May until 29th September)

“The distance a goldfish swims is not controlled by the bowl.” ― Les Coleman

KRSChannel advises in this video that Saturn retrograde will bring the just karma [related to how much dedication you have been giving in the areas] where Capricorn rules in your chart.

He also advises that themes of the opposite sign of Cancer and specifically Punarvasu which is the Nakshatra “Star of Renewal” during this time will result in changes to what this Nakshatra represents; the real estate market, hotels, home, mother and emotions, Innovation, Inventions, Philanthropists, Ecologists, Preservers, Recyclers'.

Key themes:

  • Review and intensification of responsibilities, dedication, hard work, limitations, managing finances and commitments

Is the work you’ve been putting into your long-term projects/plans bringing you the desired results? Do you need to make further adjustments within the home? Work harder or change your career direction altogether? These are the questions that millions will be facing at this time.

The planets are providing a re-set button in 2020… The imbalance of what people actually need to sustain themselves vs. the distorted attachments to never ending desires is forcing many to reassess their commitments.

May we begin to see those living below the poverty line (where rules of 1.5 meters social distancing means absolutely nothing) receive the absolute basics to survive.

We have no idea just how lucky we are to even be looking at a screen in 2020.
