Nakshatras, happiness and DNA

Below is as an overview of the 27 Nakshatras; the lunar mansions or constellations in Hindu (Vedic) Astrology which are the active energies that exist ‘behind the zodiac signs’.

These Nakshatras describe the characteristics of a birth chart in detail, and to analyse the moon's (Tithi) at it transits through each one which is what brings a collective change in energy and consciousness in daily life.

The Nakshatras are crucial in describing the details of planetary news during new and full moons phases, eclipses and the transit of both the inner and outer planets. Where a Zodiac sign provides a general overview, the Nakshatras offer a rich understanding of the Zodiac and assigned with qualities including Dosha, body part ruler-ship, sound, colour, presiding deity (God), merits, planets and purpose.

In terms of global Astrological predictions, Tropical Astrology uses the Zodiac sign, aspects and asteroids to explain the next New or Full Moon phase energy with many leading Tropical Astrologers adding the Nakshatras into their analysis to paint a very specific picture of their predictions.

DNA, AYURVEDA & DIET

When we look to Ayurveda, Yoga and other forms of alternative healing, we use Vedic Astrology and the Nakshatras to analyse the physiological makeup of a person which specify the:

Guna (Sattva, Rajas and Tamas energies)

Dosha (Vata, Kapha and Pitta energies)

Element (Earth, Air, Water and Fire energies)

Gender (Male and Female energies)

Energy levels, sleep patterns and a host of other medical conditions is seen in the chart by Professional Medical Vedic Astrologer.

Our biological makeup and the body’s ability to store fat, to process information, to have specific tastes etc. is systematically calculated within the birth chart. Here is where we begin to see the birth chart for what it really is – a map of the imprint of our DNA.

THE PADAS

Each of these Nakshatras are further divided into four ‘Padas’ equalling 3°20'. These four Padas have their own planetary ruling energy, and give details by the Planetary ruler.

As per Jaimini system, the first Pada of the first Nakshatra Ashwini is ruled by Aries, the 2nd Taurus, the 3rd Gemini, and the 4th Cancer. When moving to the second Nakshatra Bharani, the 1st Pada follows the previous and ruled by Leo.

27 Nakshatras x 4 Padas = 108 Padas

108 / 12 Zodiac Signs = 9 Cycles of the Zodiac from Ashwini through to Revati

These Padas give specific detail into the characteristics of each Nakshatra, and show the secrets behind a person’s horoscope.

We use these Padas in readings to find what action/activity the person should do regularly as part of their routine to reach emotional fulfilment.

In addition, should there be positive or negative influences on the moon's Nakshatra in ones chart then this will influence their emotional state of being. This, in addition to all the other planetary placements will show the strengths and weaknesses of a chart.

We can fill our time with work, responsibility and activity however once we are aware of the Nakshatras and Padas of our planets, we are able to tap into the power of activity specifically created for our makeup that will bring stability in the body and mind.

For many, it is obvious to simply do what naturally makes them happy as often at possible, however for others a struggle to pinpoint exactly what they need to do is clear because this level of self understanding operates on such a deep subconscious level, it is difficult for them to ignore social expectations and focus on personal expression without seeking validation.

An Astrologer will be able to immediately pinpoint these factors, which helps parents understand assist their children develop in areas they may not have otherwise understood as a strength that will see a child's greatest potential.
