On the 5th July, the Lunar Eclipse will take place in the Vedic Constellation of Purva Ashada Nakshatra spanning across 13°20′ to 26°40′ Sagittarius (Sidereal)
This Lunar Eclipse concludes the 2020 mid-year eclipse 'portal'; the first lunar eclipse occurred on the 5th June and the Solar Eclipse on the 22nd June. Read the June forecast here.

Lunar Eclipses are generally felt as an internal shift and Solar Eclipses that follow result in energy 'sped up' which manifests as of inevitable change. This is a common yearly occurrence that prepares us for the next ‘phase’ and those born with planets in close proximity to the degrees of the eclipses experience these changes the most dramatically. In June, the Lunar Eclipse took place in the dramatic and intense Nakshatra of Jyeshta which was felt on a global scale throughout mainstream media & social media as a result of the horrifying treatment and death of George Flyod which sparked outrage, resulting in mass protests. On the 5th July, the final Lunar Eclipse wraps up the ‘season of eclipses’ by coinciding with what is called 'Guru Purnima' which is a day dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers, who are enlightened, share wisdom and guide others without expecting anything in return (this is Karma Yoga).

According to Komilla Sutton, with the Lunar Eclipse occurring on the day of Guru Purnima, this may obscure the information that our global, business and community teachers and leaders are communicating, and it is advisable to be careful with the information you receive which may not be as accurate or as helpful as we would like.
This isn’t helped by the fact that Mercury will still be in retrograde motion in the Vedic constellation of Gemini during the Lunar Eclipse making it a ‘war of words’ with adults behaving like children, and youth acting out on social media.
In the days surrounding the 5th July, please keep in mind that how you feel about what information is received may not be the most beneficial or will need to be questioned at this time.
It is especially important to listen and trust your own judgement and take the time to reflect on how you feel about the information you receive which may be obscured or inaccurate.
Equally, that which you communicate to others may not be on point, so be careful and allow for flexibility with any major decision making at this time. Allow others to have their say without judgement.
PURVA ASHADA
The Lunar Eclipse is in Purva Ashada (meaning the “Invincible One”) and themes of this Nakshatra include:

- A sense of invincibility & achieving victory
- Acting out despite others advice
- Aiming to improving life circumstances & ‘invigorating’ others
- Strategists, risk analysis, and a “force” that works behind the scenes
- A love and need to be near water and water related hobbies & professions
With the above attributes of Purva Ashada, this month’s Eclipse will see you plan for more challenging work and personal projects. It’s a great time to organise activities for yourself and with others that will assist your performance levels in order to achieve a greater level of personal success’ which extends beyond your previous efforts.

However, as with all eclipses, ensure that the information you receive or that is communicated by you is valid and backed up by credible sources. Try not to sheepishly follow others false statements or beliefs in order to achieve egoistic desires that aren’t relevant to your values. We often do this collectively without questioning all that we know, which is a true form of wisdom.
WESTERN ASPECTS
Full Moon Eclipse Trine Uranus
The Lunar Eclipse will make a trine angle to Uranus which is in Vedic Aries enforcing a positive and emotionally supportive feeling of excitement, restlessness and creative imagination inspired by original thinking together with an out of the box burst of activity.

Physically we may experience heightened levels of inspiration for our physical efforts in working out, improving our health whilst pushing the boundaries more than we have before.
Collectively, in the lead up to the eclipse we may see the release unique forms of expression, new music, arts and film which all rule Venus (the ruling planet of Purva Ashada) that have been in progress ‘behind the scenes’.
WHY DID THIS HAPPEN? HOW ECLIPSES WORK AND HOW IT AFFECTS US
The nodes of the moon Rahu and Ketu are what cause the eclipse to occur; it is a misconception that the sun and moon do this alone.
Rahu and Ketu are widely known and well documented as erratic, demonic and intense energies that change the collective consciousness by drawing in and removing things, people and situations very quickly.
Rahu essentially ‘torments’ the Sun and Moon by removing their power. What IS powerful during this time is ‘inner work’ rather than external expression/fighting/negotiations etc.
Simplifying activities, fasting or eating clean, meditating, mantra and anything to relax the body i.e. not indulging in drugs or alcohol is highly recommended. Stick to calming activities as best as possible.
