VENUS EXALTED - BRING ME A HIGHER LOVE
3rd-28th February
With Venus now exalted in Pisces until the 28th of February we're feeling the Goddess of love working at her highest dignity. When Venus transits through Pisces every 1-2 years, the love planet is happy swimming in an ocean of blissful ideals.
In contrast when she visits Virgo, which is her debilitated sign, the energy of love is felt through nit picking details and wanting to materially perfect the tangible forms of love and money (this won’t be felt until around October 2020).
Venus exalted is not focused on the material; she is in love with a highly idealistic and spiritual kind of love.
Venus exalted says we love and forgive those who hurt us, that real love is not conditional, nor is it based on unrealistic expectations.
GLOBAL COMPASSION
There is a strong sense of compassion this month as we deepen our understanding of how we connect with others.
Together with Mercury about to turn retrograde in Aquarius which rules the masses, we are being asked to respond to current crisis' on a Global scale with an open heart.
Venus exalted shows us that our daily interactions and our spiritual practices are the most powerful force to combat everything life throws at us.
Spiritual practices are not limited to Meditation, Yoga, Religion, etc., they entail those activities that connect us to our true nature, and for many this means spending time with those that love us unconditionally on a daily basis who bring peace and harmony within our mind and body. For others this is selflessly contributing to society by helping those in need.
These activities remind us of whom we really are and protect us from losing ourselves when things in our ‘outer world’ become burdensome.
We do not need to change any part of ourselves for anyone when Venus operates at this level. We are all accepted for who we are, and we are all one and the same.
MERCURY RETROGRADE - QUICK IDEAS & CHANGE!
16th February - 10th March
As we flow through February with a powerful full moon on the 9th/10th of the month (you can read more here about the full moon), Mercury prepares to turn retrograde.
Mercury is in Aquarius; the sign which rules the collective, new technology, air travel, out of the box ideas and that which affects the masses and large organisations. Physically it rules the ankles, calves, shins, and the circulatory system.
Rahu (North Node) rules Aquarius and is currently in Gemini creating a powerful ‘Parivartan Yoga’.
The communication/messenger planet Mercury together with the powerful and intense force of Rahu creates a dynamic combination and amplifying genius ideas, communication, quick decision making, and rapid change!
Mercury’s usual hick ups can certainly be expected during this time.
Keep an open mind and remain calm if any of the following occur:
> Email, IT and Wifi issues
> Cross checking details within contracts which may need to be revised
> Any dormant physical ailments may flare up
> Transport delays/strikes - we may see amplification of air travel restrictions
> Missed meetings, information, emails/texts
> Old friends/lovers/associates reaching out to catch up
> Delving deeper into previous ideas and projects that were put on the shelf
Although disruptive, Mercury’s retrograde can help us refine things we have missed. Together with the positive energy from Venus' Exaltation, we can expect our love projects to be in focus and what truly brings value to our lives.
Do not fear any retrograde; some of the best events and decisions can occur during this time. All planets when retrograde operate at a higher intensity albeit ‘in reverse’.
There will be an abundance of new information flying in due to the strength of this transit so remain open to new ideas and change!
BORN DURING MERCURY RETROGRADE?
Those born during Mercury retrograde are the natural quiet strategists. Although they may seem a little shy and aloof when it comes to comprehension, when left on their own they are able to tap into their unique analytical skills and bring genius ideas and spot on solutions.
Their lack of verbal communication skills at a young age is misunderstood for a lack of intellect, however made up for in analytical, creative and writing abilities. They are the shy children and when asked a direct question will often struggle to answer immediately, often needing to be left alone to think clearly rather than be confronted.
This can be mistaken for 'slow' development according to standard educational systems. These individuals however learn to use this energy to their advantage by speaking less and listening more.
